Veterinary Chiropractic


Dr. Wolverton is also a licensed and board certified veterinary chiropractor with the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) utilizing specific manual adjusting techniques and Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM). These techniques are described in more detail under the tab labeled Veterinary Chiropractic.



Is Chiropractic for pain only?


When a vertebrae is out of alignment it can interfere with the normal flow of life energy through the nerves, while creating the different sections of the brain to fall out of sync and proper communication. For example, if the affected nerve is carrying a message to the liver, the function of the liver can be negatively affected. If the nerve is transmitting instructions from the brain to the heart, that organ's proper function may be altered.



Wellness in the body depends on the proper flow of nerve energy. If that normal flow is interrupted or interfered with, the result is dis-ease.



Chiropractors locate misalignments in the spine called subluxations. A spinal adjustment is administered to correct these subluxations. When the vertebrae are allowed to go back to their proper positions, the nerve energy can resume its normal flow.



Only then can the body continue its natural effort to maintain optimal heath...



Dr. Wolverton utilizes several chiropractic techniques that are specific to each patient's individual needs. These include Diversified, Activator and Thompson techniques.
